Genus Hydromyles Gistel, 1848
Hydromyles is monospecific. This is a naked pelagic snail, about 1 cm in length. It is ball-shaped, slightly transparent and deep orange-yellow. When swimming the wings and the two tentacles, of the same size as the wings, are characteristic. In retracted condition the animals is just an orange ball, and resembles a fish egg.(#Hydromyles globulosa).
