Subfamily Thliptodontinae Pruvot-Fol, 1926
Thliptodontinae is composed of three genera (Cephalobrachia, Massya, Thliptodon). In the Thliptodontinae, besides the Clioninae which is the other subfamily in the Clionidae, the buccal cones are absent and they are probably replaced by the gullet-bladders as found in Thliptodon. In this genus a typical radula is also found with very large and complicated teeth.
