Subfamily Cavoliniinae Spoel, 1972
Cavoliniinae consists of the 3 genera: Diacria (species that throw off the protoconch and form a closing septum), Cavolinia (species that either keep the protoconch or that do not form a closing membrane) and Diacavolinia (species that throw off the protoconch at a very early stage and close the shell by the ventral and dorsal shell sides that grow together).
