Genus Protatlanta Tesch, 1903
Protatlanta is monospecific. This is a small shelled, pelagic snail, 0.1 cm in diameter, characterised by large eyes, a single swimming fin and non-calcareous keel but a calcified teleoconch. It is dextral and the shell is strongly flattened and keeled (Protatlanta souleyeti).
