Family Cliopsidae Dall, 1889
Cliopsidae is composed of two genera (Cliopsis, Pruvotella) which share the presence of gills with the Pneumodermopsidae but they have no sucker arms. The posterior footlobe is reduced or absent. The oesophagus and buccal organs can be greatly evaginated to catch prey, this mechanism probably took over from the function of the sucker arms found in Pneumodermatidae.
