Genus Clio Linnaeus, 1767
Clio is composed of eight species; Clio pyramidata is the type species. The shells are straight and all are pyramidal although in some the dorsal and ventral sides are flattened (Clio genus). Clio pyramidata, represented by 6 formae, is a typical example of clinal variation (Clio p. lanceolata variation).
