Genus Cuvierina Boas, 1886
Cuvierina is monospecific. This is a shelled pelagic snail, up to 1 cm long, with a perfectly transparent, bottle-shaped shell. The juvenile shell has a protoconch that points as a needle below the bottle-shaped adult shell and is closed off by a septum (Cuvierina c. columnella).
