Genus Recluzia
Recluzia is composed of ten rather dubious species; the type species is Recluzia rollandiana. Recluzia lutea is presented here, for completeness (Lalli and Gilmer, 1989) but it should probably be considered invalid. This is a large, shelled pelagic snail. It lives in the pleuston and has no swimming fins. The dextral shell varies from turrate to low coiled, and has up to 10 concave whorls. The aperture is oval to rounded. The colour is bluish-brown, yellow or white. Sometimes there are spiral ribs or lines on the body whorl (Recluzia genus).
